Communications Strategist & Policy Advisor | Project Management & GR Expert
Tetiana Ilchuk is a communications strategist and legal and policy consultant with over 10 years of experience supporting complex projects across business, the public sector, international organizations, and philanthropic foundations. Her expertise spans strategic and crisis communications, reputation management, advocacy, government relations (GR), and legal support in the media and creative industries.
As a co-founder of the Ukrainian Media League, Tetiana leads an expert team that delivers services ranging from consulting to full-cycle project support. Key areas of focus include research and project audit, strategic communication planning, institutional development, and stakeholder engagement with government bodies and international donors.
From 2022 to 2024, Tetiana headed a large-scale humanitarian initiative of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation – one of Ukraine’s largest charitable foundations – overseeing strategic management, operational deployment, public communications, and cross-sector partnerships.
From 2017 to 2021, she led the project and communications department at the Industrial Television Committee (ITC), a key industry association representing Ukraine’s top media holdings and advertising agencies. Under her leadership, ITC restructured and relaunched the National Television Award “Teletriumf,” hosted major industry forums such as “Television as Business” and “MediaLaw,” and significantly expanded its international engagement.
Her earlier experience includes expert roles in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (Parliament), the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting, and active collaboration with civil society organizations in the fields of media and education. She holds deep expertise in media self-regulation, cultural policy, government relations, and legal frameworks in the creative sector.
Tetiana serves on advisory boards at the Ukrainian State Film Agency and the State Agency for Arts and Arts Education. She is also part of a national working group on cultural philanthropy reform and contributes to an international expert network on media self-regulation.
She is a member of several professional communities, including the Ukrainian Bar Association (committees on GR, intellectual property, IT & media, mediation) and the Association of Cultural Managers “Culture & Creativity.”
Since 2022, she has served as an evaluator at the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (audiovisual arts sector) and as a jury member for the Medea Awards (media in education). From 2018 to 2021, she represented the Adami Media Prize for cultural diversity in Ukraine.
