On February 26, 2025 the Public Council at State Arts Council held regular meeting. At the first meeting of 2025 was reviewed and approved the Report on activities of the Public Council at State Arts Council of 2024 and was approved the Plan of activities for 2025.
Public Council at State Arts Council held two meetings during 2024. During these meetings, the members of the Public Council carefully examined current trends in the development of the industry, particularly the educational direction in the arts sector, as well as the professional requirements and the existing shortage of qualified personnel. Significant attention was given to issues related to improving professional training and developing new specialties that are crucial for the stable functioning of the country’s cultural infrastructure.
Furthermore, the members of the Public Council presented their work and discussed achievements in various areas of activity. In particular, issues related to the development of culture, library affairs, and the regulation of patronage in Ukraine were addressed. An important topic was the discussion of opportunities to stimulate investment in cultural initiatives and support creative projects. The members also shared their advocacy experiences, which will help further strengthen the position of culture at the national level.
Meanwhile, one of the meetings addressed the issue of the validity of the Public Council’s status and the continuation of its members’ terms of office until the end of martial law in the country. As a result, confirmation was obtained from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, allowing the Public Council to continue its work under the conditions of martial law and ensure stable operation in the next period.
Also, during 2024, members of the Public Council participated in the working groups, conferences, seminars, round tables and other events organized by organizations related to culture and arts, and were involved in events held under the State Arts Agency, Ministry of Culture and Informational Policy of Ukraine and National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine.

The first convocation of the Public Council at State Agency of Ukraine on Arts and Art Education was formed in 2022. Tetiana Ilchuk, co-founder of UML, lawyer, manager, media and cultural expert was delegated to the Public Council at State Arts Agency as a representative of Ukrainian Media League (UML).
The State Agency of Ukraine on Arts and Art Education (State Arts Agency) is the central authority that implements state policy in arts and specialized art education areas. The activities of State Arts Agency are directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Minister of Culture and Information Policy.
The Public Council at State Arts Agency is a consultative and advisory body established to promote realization the constitutional right to participate in the state affairs management; implementation of public control over Agency activities; facilitating the consideration of public opinion during the formation and implementation of state policy.
