On February 20, 2023 the Public Council at State Arts Council held regular meeting. At the first meeting of 2023 was reviewed and approved the Report on activities of the Public Council at State Arts Council of 2022 and was approved the Plan of activities for 2023.

Public Council at State Arts Council held four meetings during 2022. According to the results of the meetings was prepared and submitted  appeals and communicated the main points with public and governmental  authorities regarding: creation and distribution of available educational materials selection for the organization and conduct of online training in art educational institutions; renewal of work on filling the repository and updating educational programs; creation and distribution of a list of auxiliary resources for teachers of art education institutions, as well as regarding the creation of an electronic database “Art school in a smartphone” or create an adapted version of such a database

In addition, the Public council comprehensively considered the issue of the state educational materials, as a result of which  were made an appeals to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, in particular: the conditions for the purchase of book products and periodicals by libraries; monitoring the needs of art schools regarding the provision of appropriate specialized educational literature that popularizes Ukrainian content; appeal regarding the state order for the publication of specialized educational literature for educational institutions in the culture.

During the meetings, also the members of the Public council approved changes and additions to the Decree of the President of Ukraine of October 20, 1998 No. 1152 “On State Support of Culture and Art in Ukraine”. Also the members of Public Council participated in the legal discussion and activities for support and development of patronage and regulation of philanthropic aid in culture, exchange of experience with European colleagues for the popularization of classical art.

Also, during 2022, members of the Public Council participated in the working groups, conferences, seminars, round tables and other events organized by organizations related to culture and arts, and were involved in events held under the State Arts Agency.

The first convocation of the Public Council at State Agency of Ukraine on Arts and Art Education was formed in 2022. Tetiana Ilchuk, co-founder of UML, lawyer, manager, media and cultural expert was delegated to the Public Council at State Arts Agency as a representative of Ukrainian Media League (UML).

The State Agency of Ukraine on Arts and Art Education (State Arts Agency) is the central authority that implements state policy in arts and specialized art education areas. The activities of State Arts Agency are directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Minister of Culture and Information Policy.

The Public Council at State Arts Agency is a consultative and advisory body established to promote realization the constitutional right to participate in the state affairs management; implementation of public control over Agency activities; facilitating the consideration of public opinion during the formation and implementation of state policy.
