For more than 14 years, the MEDEA Awards has been encouraging innovation and good practice in the use of media (audio, video, graphics, and animation) in education.

These annual awards recognise and promote excellence in the production and pedagogical design of media-rich learning resources and bring to the forefront those producers, designers and teaching staff who provide such inspiration to the entire educational community, particularly in Europe.

In 2021, Ukrainian Media League became a partner of the international MEDEA Awards competition. In addition Tetiana Ilchuk, Director of UML became a member of Judging Panel several years in a row.   

The Media & Learning Association’s  annual competition to reward best use of media to support education at all levels is now open for entries.

Invited the applications which demonstrate excellent use of multimedia in a learning setting including videos, audios, simulations, AR/VR/XR apps, podcasts, vlogs, animations, and any other excellent use of educational multimedia. Entries are welcome from students, teachers, schools, production facilities, universities, training companies, agencies, and anyone else working on the creation and use of educational multimedia.

The deadline for receipt of entries is 17 March 2022.

 

MEDEA Awards 2022 finalists will be invited to take part in the Media & Learning 2022 conference – University of the Future – Mediated, Pixelated, Hybrid or Virtual? organised by the Media & Learning Association and KU Leuven on 2-3 June 2022 in Leuven, Belgium.

All finalists’ entries will be featured on the conference agenda and the winner will be announced during the Awards Ceremony.
