
Ukrainian Media League (UML) is a community of highly qualified experts and professionals, who merged into a non-profit public organization in February 2021. Ukrainian Media League focuses its activities on organizing an open dialogue, establishing effective cooperation in order to analyze, approve and organize high-quality and effective cooperation with stakeholders in socially important areas of media, educational, cultural and related sphere.
Ukrainian Media League systematically cooperates with international organizations. UML experts are members of public councils, working groups, expert commissions at key state authorities and institutions. Representatives of UML are members of professional associations, including Ukrainian Bar Association (Committees on Media and Advertising Law, on Intellectual Property, on Alternative Dispute Resolution), the Association “Culture and Creativity”. ADAMI Media Prize for Cultural Diversity in Eastern Europe is international TV, film competition and program of events is being coordinated by Ukrainian Media League.
UML actively cooperates with industry associations of media self-regulation; fight against piracy and protection of intellectual property rights; development and completion of regulations and law drafts of media market regulation, film production, culture and related areas.
Among the co-founders of the Ukrainian Media League are: Tetiana Ilchuk – a communications and policy strategist, expert in project management and government relations (GR), and Oleksandr Karapetyan – a legal strategist, corporate law expert, and risk management specialist.
In addition, the Ukrainian Media League community is continuously expanding through the involvement of leading experts and specialists from various sectors to ensure the development and implementation of innovative solutions, foster strategic partnerships, and enhance the organization’s influence on the shaping of advanced policies, as well as the adoption of best practices in the media, legal, and public sectors. This interdisciplinary approach allows the UML to respond swiftly to changes in the legal and social environment, stimulate industry development, and ensure sustainable progress through the engagement of highly qualified specialists and effective collaboration within a broad network of strategic partnerships.
